Patrick Bezzolato vit à Paris et y exerce la profession d’architecte. Photographe de l’intime, il arpente depuis plus de trente ans la capitale à la recherche de ce qu’elle fût le siècle dernier. Ses images interrogent la mémoire et portent sur l’histoire des lieux et de leur transformation dans un entre deux où se mêle l’esprit documentaire et la vision poétique.

Cette empathie pour les faubourgs parisiens intériorisés dès ses jeunes années, devenue une suite photographique publiée, exposée et récompensée en font un héritier du reportage humaniste parisien puis plus largement de la « photographie de rue » qu’elle soit française ou américaine.

Ses travaux ont débouché sur la publication de plusieurs monographies et de nombreuses expositions à Paris, en province comme à travers le monde…

Patrick Bezzolato is a Parisian architect with a second passion/vocation as a photographer of human intimacy. For the past thirty years he has been a walker-explorer through the Parisian streets looking for the capital’s  aspect in  the last century.  The resulting images seem to recreate the past and ask the streets’ history to document their transformation in a poetic and nostalgic vision.

This photographer’s organic empathy for the Parisian « quartiers" is part and parcel of his consciousness since chilhood. a passion which inspired a collection of photographic showngs rewarded with many prizes. Patrick Bezzolato became a humanist reporter of the Parisian streets, and eventually the ideal “street photography” in France as well as in America.

His works produced the publication of many books and exhibits all over Paris, France and the world…
